How we list providers

Know what
we’ve checked.

A listing helps you compare the practical details. Here’s where those details come from, and what still needs checking.

01 · Who we include

Gyms and trainers.
Know the setting.

We list women-only gyms and studios, alongside individual personal trainers who advertise coaching for women in Queensland. Each profile identifies the provider type. We check available provider information, stated location, training offered and contact route.

Women-only gym listings need an explicit statement that the premises are women-only. A female personal trainer is listed separately: their profile does not establish women-only premises. Use the Provider type filter to choose between them.

Profiles summarise published services, support, equipment and contract terms. Missing or conflicting information is identified so you can ask the provider. This is an initial selection, not a complete list of Queensland providers.

We have not independently checked every trainer’s qualifications or insurance, visited each gym or assessed its coaching. Inclusion is not certification or a guarantee of suitability.

02 · Coaching and programming

A clear starting point.
A plan for progress.

These are the Women’s Strength criteria behind the assessment, programming and coaching filters. They apply separately to one-to-one and small-group strength training.

  1. Periodised programming evidence

At any given time, each client should have at least the next 12 months of programming clearly laid out. The plan should show the training phases and how the work is intended to progress.

What we would check: We would review a dated programme, its progression across those phases and how it relates to the client. The plan can change as the client progresses; the coach should be able to explain those changes.

  2. Personalised coaching during the session

The coach should make adjustments for the person in front of them: progress an exercise when they are ready, regress it when needed, and adapt the session to their ability.

What we would check: We would observe how the coach makes those decisions and ask them to explain their choices. We would check this in the training format being assessed, whether one to one or a small group.

  3. A clear starting point

Before training begins, the provider discusses your experience and goals, coaches you through a strength and movement check, and explains what to do next.

What we would check: We would check what happens at the appointment and how it informs the starting plan. Recording your initial results and scheduling reassessment are separate details to confirm; an assessment label alone does not establish either.

The rolling 12-month programming requirement is our own quality criterion. It is not a claim that every effective programme must follow the same approach.

03 · Evidence and recognition

What a label
actually tells you.

01

Listed

A free, factual profile

The business is included using its published information or a direct provider confirmation. Sources and dates are shown. A listing does not mean we have visited, checked qualifications or approved the service.

02

Assessed

In development · not awarded

Our planned assessment would review programme evidence and include a visit to observe coaching. The final standard, scope and review process will be published before recognition is offered.

03

Women’s Strength trained

In development · not awarded

This would identify named coaches who complete Women’s Strength education and demonstrate the required skills. The course and competence requirements are still being developed.

Confirmed as offered means the available provider information supports the whole feature described by that filter. Programme reviewed and Coaching observed require separate evidence. None of the current providers has been awarded assessment or training recognition.

Not yet confirmed means we do not have enough information. It does not mean the business lacks that service.

04 · Sources and corrections

Useful details.
Visible sources.

Each profile links to its sources and shows when we checked them. Provider websites, social posts and owner statements are not independent assessments. Where information comes from a supplied post, the profile identifies that basis and any confirmation still needed. Confirm current availability and the agreement you would sign directly with the business.

We do not publish provider prices. Contract terms and inclusions stay visible; ask the provider about rates and any additional charges.

If you own a listed business or spot an error, send the profile link and the correction. We review supporting information and update the relevant profile, filters and comparison together.

05 · Ownership and commercial relationships

How this directory
is funded.

Women’s Strength and The Evolved share ownership. The Evolved is included using the same comparison fields as other providers, with its owner-confirmed facts identified separately from independent review.

Basic listings are free. Businesses do not pay for their current position: results are alphabetical, narrowed by the filters you choose. A listing does not establish a partnership.

Assessment and provider education are potential future paid services. Women’s Strength’s partner-programme fees remain undecided. Any future commercial relationship will be disclosed; payment will not buy a higher editorial ranking.
